Ia membayangi setiap kehidupan, namun juga memaksa manusia untuk merefleksikan eksistensinya secara lebih jujur dan mendalam. Dalam filsafat eksistensial, kematian dipandang sebagai batas sekaligus cermin dari makna hidup. Sementara dalam tasawuf, kematian bukanlah akhir, melainkan transisi menuju perjumpaan yang lebih hakiki dengan Yang Absolut wujud tertinggi dari makna itu sendiri.<\/p><p>Kajian ini menyandingkan dua pendekatan besar dalam memahami kematian dan kebermaknaan hidup: filsafat eksistensial (terutama melalui Heidegger, Camus, dan Frankl) dan spiritualitas tasawuf (dengan merujuk pada tokoh-tokoh seperti Al-Ghazali, Rumi, dan Ibn \u2018Arabi). Dalam filsafat eksistensial, kematian dipandang sebagai panggilan menuju kehidupan yang autentik keberanian untuk hidup sesuai hakikat diri. Dalam tasawuf, kesadaran akan kematian adalah latihan ruhani, yang disebut al-maut qablal maut (mati sebelum mati), yang mengantar manusia menuju fana (lenyapnya ego) dan baqa (kekekalan dalam Tuhan).<\/p><p>Dengan memadukan dua pendekatan ini, tulisan ini menelaah bagaimana kesadaran akan kematian justru memampukan manusia menemukan makna terdalam hidupnya baik secara rasional maupun spiritual. Kehidupan yang bermakna bukan hanya hasil dari refleksi intelektual, tapi juga buah dari pengalaman batin yang transenden.
